1998 - Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

On October 22, 1998, Info-LaSalle Inc. was founded, a PC systems production company, which a few years later became GenPOS, a manufacturer-distributor of point-of-sale systems.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

1999 to 2002 - Growth <\/strong><\/p>\n

The company is enjoying a period of active growth. This is an opportunity to acquire larger infrastructures and increase production capacities. During this period, GenPOS positions itself as a reseller-distributor of IT products, and reaches an increasingly POS-oriented clientele. GenPOS' product offering is diversifying in order to reach the POS market.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2003 to 2004 - POS and Touchscreens<\/strong><\/p>\n

GenPOS becomes one of the leading distributors of touchscreen products in Canada, offering TTX Touchscreen and NEC Touchscreen products. NEC Touchscreen products are fully integrated into GenPOS' Montreal facilities. The R&D team gets down to business and prepares a full range of POS products under the GenPOS banner.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2005 to 2006 - POS all the way <\/strong><\/p>\n

GenPOS takes a POS turn with a diversified product line, including NEC touchscreens and GenPOS POS-oriented PC systems. The company becomes an important partner of the biggest names in the POS field in Canada.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2007 - A Star is born<\/strong><\/p>\n

GenPOS launches the \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 trademark, its new POS product banner. With \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122, GenPOS becomes a manufacturer-distributor of its own product line, and now offers 100% Canadian POS equipment solutions. Launch of the \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 Kiosk, and \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 CT150 all-in-one products.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2008 to 2009 - Eclipse\u2122 Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 banner occupies an important place in the POS market in Canada. The arrival of the new \u00c9clipse\u2122 1500C concept, with standard components, is a major innovation on the market. This different approach ensures the sustainability of POS equipment by allowing simple and rapid updates of the equipment.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2010 to 2011 - QC SRM and USA<\/strong><\/p>\n

GenPOS introduces a brand new range of touch systems with PCT \"all-glass\" technology, which offers resistance never seen before to touch screens. In Quebec, the arrival of MEV is transforming the POS industry and GenPOS is ensuring that it offers products that are fully prepared to meet the new demand. The \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 product line is complete: All-in-one, touch screens, barcode reader, receipt printers, cash drawer, customer displays, PC POS system, and more. GenPOS begins its expansion into the American market.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2012 to 2013 - USA and Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company joins the ranks of the RSPA (Retails Solutions Provider's Association), an organization dedicated to improving the POS market in Canada and the United States. GenPOS participates in several major events such as RetailNOW, the NRF in New York, and the NRA in Chicago.<\/p>\n

GenPOS launched the first FANLESS Core i5 device in 2013! A major innovation in POS, which would not be reproduced until years later by competitors.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2014 - QC 2nd SRM and USA<\/strong><\/p>\n

The year 2014 marks a significant advance for GenPOS with a breakthrough in the American market and the growth of its network of authorized \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 resellers. In Quebec, the arrival of a 2nd MEV, for the bar industry this time, offers opportunities to GenPOS which launches a new innovation: The FLAIR system. This new avant-garde concept combines beverage control systems AND POS in a single device! The ingenuity of GenPOS, once again, brings renewal to the POS industry.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2015 to 2016 - New Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n

The years 2015 and 2016 brought GenPOS continued growth, allowing the company to stand out and become the exclusive distributor in Canada of Champtek HPRT printers and Scantech ID barcode readers. In addition, the \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 product line continued to grow with the arrival of the PF1500Z, an AIO with PCT technology.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2017 to 2019 - New POS Products<\/strong><\/p>\n

GenPOS is taking advantage of a period of stability and consolidation of its assets to launch some new products and refresh its range of all-in-one systems. The latest \u00c9CLIPSE\u2122 systems, the PF150C and PF150P with new generation processors, are now in the catalog. GenPOS is among the first to offer the J1900, and the J3455 later.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2020 to 2021 - The pandemics years<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pandemic years and COVID-19 affect GenPOS like all businesses around the world.
